Our members come from all walks of life and often have experienced music as a hobby or as a sense of personal enjoyment throughout their lives. All musical abilities are welcomed and represented, and all levels are catered for with our music director producing accompanying learning CDs for members who are not proficient in sight reading of music.

New members are always welcome to Bray Choral Society. We provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with a strong emphasis on singing ability rather than on being able to read music. Learning CDs are available to assist all members and musical abilities.

Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings from 7:45pm to 10pm in St. Kilian’s Community School, Ballywaltrim, Bray during the school term.

If after coming along for a couple of rehearsals you wish to join us, there is a simple audition just to check if you can sing a note as played on a piano and to determine which division of the choir would best suit for you and your voice. The audition is private and is not at all intimidating – see some of the comments below.
